Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, the White House gathered some of the most anti-immigrant characters in Washington to talk about immigration. According to reports, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner is getting ready to introduce an immigration plan.

The meeting included Stephen Miller, a white supremacist who is hellbent on increasing the abusive power of ICE and CBP, and Congressional anti-immigrant extremists like Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton, who have done everything possible to kill permanent legislative solutions that would protect immigrant youth and our families from deportation.

Sanaa Abrar, Advocacy Director at United We Dream, said:

“Based on who was in yesterday’s meeting, we know what the Miller-Kushner immigration plan is.  It is mass deportation, keeping immigrants and refugees out of the country, and continuing inhumane practices that result in families being separated.

Kellyanne Conway says that this administration wants to protect dreamers. The solution exists already, and it is called the Dream and Promise Act.”

United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation, a powerful network made up of over 400,000 members and 48 affiliate organizations across 26 states. UWD’s vision is to build a multi-racial, multi-ethnic movement of young people who organize and advocate at the local and national levels for the dignity and justice of immigrants and communities of color in the United States.
