Send a Letter: End Local Collaboration with ICE!

Despite the promises made by President Biden, his administration has deported over 2 million people, upheld the racist Title 42 Policy, failed to end programs that entangle local law enforcement with ICE such as Secure Communities and 287(g), and now is undermining progress made by local communities across the country.

On January 20, 2022, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asked Mayors nationwide to “reconsider [their] position of non-cooperation” with federal immigration enforcement agencies like ICE. As communities that have fought for and continue to fight for protective policies that refuse to use local resources to facilitate the detention and deportation of our community members, we resist and condemn this request.

That is why on March 29, 2022 more than 100 organizations from all over the country sent a letter to Mayorkas renewing their commitment to fight back against ICE collusion and urging the Secretary to reverse course and follow through on past promises to end programs which perpetuate local entanglement with DHS.

This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
