Washington, D.C. – This week, United We Dream launched a five figure digital ad campaign targeting key Democratic Senators and President Biden, demanding they prioritize a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth, TPS holders, and farm workers. The ads feature immigrant youth and TPS holders calling on Senators Kelly (AZ), Sinema (AZ), Hickenlooper (CO), Durbin (IL), Manchin (WV), as well as Majority Leader Schumer (NY) and President Biden to lead and deliver on providing a path to citizenship. The ads, which will run on Facebook, Youtube, Google, and local and regional news websites in Arizona, Illinois, New York, West Virginia, and Washington D.C., are part of United We Dream’s Undeniable video storytelling series.

Greisa Martinez Rosas, Executive Director of United We Dream, said:

“Over the past 15 years, immigrant youth have taken action to urge key Republican and Democrat Senators to deliver on a pathway to citizenship for our communities. The urgency of this moment cannot be overstated. Far too many undocumented people are being denied COVID-19 vaccines and access to federal relief simply because of their immigration status, and ICE, CBP and police are continuing to harm and deport our communities.

Republicans have refused to take action to deliver relief for immigrant communities. Instead, they’ve doubled-down on racism, xenophobia, and white nationalism. Across the country Republicans are pushing policies that are anti-protest, like in Florida, and anti-democracy, like in Georgia. All this in response to our collective action following the continued murder of Black people by police, and the historic turnout of a multi-racial coalition of voters in states like Arizona and Georgia.

Still, Republicans have continued fear-mongering rhetoric of migration at the border as a way to hold citizenship hostage. This is unacceptable! We can and must pass citizenship for millions this year. Now is the time for President Biden and Senate Democrats to demonstrate the moral and bold leadership it takes to pursue every opportunity to deliver, including a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth, TPS holders, and essential workers in Biden’s American Jobs package.”

United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation; made up of a multi-racial and multi-ethnic network of 1.2 million members, over 100 local groups, and a reach of over 5 million per month. UWD’s vision is to push for just policies that allow everyone to thrive regardless of immigration status. United We Dream is fighting for a multi-racial democracy that works for everyone by building a movement of young people who organize and advocate for the dignity and justice of immigrants and communities of color. This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
