Washington, D.C. — Just Flavors!, the award-winning YouTube cooking competition by United We Dream—the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the United States —returns for its highly anticipated second season on November 4. Building on its first season’s national acclaim, including winning the Anthem Awards, Shorty Impact Awards, and Telly Awards, Just Flavors! brings together young cooks from across the country to face off in a vibrant, family-style recipe showdown. Each episode spotlights the powerful stories behind immigrant cuisines; stories of love, migration, and heritage too often overlooked.
Juanita, the show’s Executive Producer and Creative Director, and Senior Marketing & Creative Director of United We Dream, said:
“The immigrant community is vast, multi-racial, and multi-ethnic, but our recipes tie us together. From the ingredients we use to the moments that bring us to the table, every dish carries the flavor of memory and resilience. This season once again turns the kitchen into a cultural crossroads, where home cooks share dishes that represent their families’ journeys. Through friendly competition, Just Flavors! continues to define a bold and joyful identity for modern America.”
“This series also launches at a time of intensifying assaults against immigrants from Chicago to DC to LA. At a time when these attacks attempt to push immigrants into the shadows, Just Flavors! is a reminder that immigrants power America’s food industry—from fine-dining restaurants to beloved food trucks. More than a competition, Just Flavors! is a cultural statement; a joyful reclamation that as immigrants and the children of immigrants, we are proud of who we are, and it’s only when we come together, whether it’s over a shared meal or on the streets, that we can harness our power and make transformative change happen.”
