Washington, D.C. – Trump is set to be re-elected as the 47th President of the United States. United We Dream and our allies remain steadfast in our commitment to protect Black, Brown, queer, immigrant and working-class communities at every turn. Whether it is efforts to dismantle our reproductive rights, drastically scale action on climate change and gun violence, or threats to mass detain and separate families, this election continued to reveal the ways our rights and our freedoms are deeply interconnected. This moment demands directly-impacted people and allies across all issues to fight hand in hand for a liberated future where we can all thrive. Together, we are far more powerful than Trump.

Greisa Martínez Rosas, Executive Director of United We Dream, said:

“Immigrant young people of United We Dream declare ourselves hopeful and clear eyed about the fight ahead. With Trump pledging to carry out the largest deportation effort in our country’s history – activating the military to raid our communities, schools, hospitals, and more in order to round up our people into concentration camps – young, Black, brown and queer leaders who have been at the vanguard of our movement and of creating meaningful change are ready move mountains to protect our communities.

No matter what we see in 2025 and the years after – we know that our existence is protest. We didn’t just survive horrific laws like SB1070 in Arizona, Obama’s raids, the Muslim Ban and attacks on DACA and TPS under Trump. We built power. We organized. We catalyzed a movement of people across the country who are ready to protect immigrants; who are ready to fight for their neighbors, their peers, their loved ones.

We have built a movement able to withstand even the harshest conditions, and that is how I know we mean it when we say, we are here to stay. We will use and grow our power to new heights, building the largest pro-immigrant movement this country has ever seen, to fight back against white nationalism, and to enact a vision for the future that honors our values of a pluralistic democracy where everyone can live and thrive without fear. We’re ready to fight, and together, we will win.”

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
