Washington, D.C. – Just days ahead of President-elect Biden’s inauguration, immigrant youth from United We Dream are holding nothing back, declaring their demands for the Biden-Harris administration to prioritize and protect all immigrants.

A series of videos by immigrants making their demands known are available here.

Juanita Monsalve, Senior Marketing and Creative Director of United We Dream, said:

“Feeling the pain and trauma of countless anti-immigrant attacks these past four years, immigrant youth came together as part of a diverse, multiracial electorate to help President-elect Biden and Democrats win the White House and take back the Senate. We have always known our existence is undeniable and now we’ve proven our power is undeniable too. We delivered for Biden and Democrats, now they must deliver for us!

The Biden administration must issue a moratorium on deportations, create a pathway to citizenship for the over 11 million undocumented people in this country, and create a path to return home for those who have been deported and separated from their loved ones. The incoming Biden administration must also move to defund ICE and CBP, so they cannot continue to harm our communities. Bold, progressive action to protect all immigrants is long overdue. In order for our country to fully recover, President-elect Biden must step up and prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone, including immigrants. Our lives are on the line and we won’t settle for anything less than what we deserve.”

United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation; made up of a multi-racial and multi-ethnic network of 1.2 million members, over 100 local groups, and a reach of over 5 million per month. UWD’s vision is to push for just policies that allow everyone to thrive regardless of immigration status. United We Dream is fighting for a multi-racial democracy that works for everyone by building a movement of young people who organize and advocate for the dignity and justice of immigrants and communities of color. This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
