DACA Update: Biden Administration Plans Healthcare Expansion for DACA Recipients

The Biden Administration announced that the Department of Health and Human Services is expanding eligibility to allow DACA recipients to enroll in health care coverage through the ACA marketplace & Medicaid.

This is expected to take effect by the end of April.

As a result of immigrant youth and our communities organizing – hundreds of thousands of people will be able to access vital and often lifesaving health care coverage!

Here’s what you need to know:

DACA recipients will be able to apply like everyone else through their state ACA marketplace and Medicaid agency, and will receive the same coverage as everyone else in their respective states.

This rule change corrects an injustice from the Obama Administration that denied access to health care through the ACA marketplace as well as Medicaid to hundreds of thousands of young people who qualified for DACA.

DACA remains under attack!

We need congress to do its job and pass a path to citizenship not just for DACA recipients, but all 11 million undocumented people.

Take Action

We need Congress to do its job and pass a path to citizenship not just for DACA recipients, but all 11 million undocumented people. We need Health care AND Citizenship for all!

This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
