We are visionaries, we are creators, we are the ones who build and imagine. Immigrants, workers, parents, elders, young people and queer people, hand in hand, moving forward together. We have always been the ones our futures have been waiting for.
Right now, we are facing an opposition trying to crush and quell our collective future through greed, individualism, division and fear. We can feel the pressure on our hearts, racing instead of resting, running out of air because they keep trying to pull it straight out our lungs, they keep trying to shrink us, but our people are resilient as rubber bands, we bounce back.
As working people we face a choice: watch as our current world crumbles or organize. This moment demands we bring our people together to create the world we’ve always dreamed of, the world we hold at our fingertips as we tread land and water and sky, weaving our dreams into histories of resistance.
This is the legacy we were born out of: a legacy of resistance and organizing for our futures.
Our hands — the hands of workers, caretakers, matriarchs, youth and elders — are eager to shape the new world with our hearts as our compass. And our path is illuminated by our courage to move forward in spite of our fears, our dedication to show up for our people, and our love for each other. Because we are worth fighting for. A future where we all make a dignified living, can provide for our communities fully, and truly thrive is worth fighting for. A future rooted in care for each other, where what our people need, we create, is worth fighting for.
In the face of extreme inequality and greed-driven, often violent, oppression, we still show up to power our communities. Our minds work beyond all barriers. Fear has never stopped us, and it won’t stop us now.
This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.
Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
