What it means:

Nearly 500,000 undocumented people will be able to unlock protection from deportation, work authorization, and a pathway to citizenship, previously unavailable to them, through parole in place. Text PATHWAY to 787-57 to stay updated on what this new policy means.

How will it help?

This Executive Order will provide work authorization and open up a pathway to permanent legal status and citizenship for undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens and their children. To qualify, you must have married before June 17th, 2024 and have lived in the US for more than 10 years by June 17. It will also provide guidance to streamline the process for DACA recipients and DACA-eligible youth applying for employment based visas.

The impact:

This will help families stay together, provide communities with stability, and celebrate our humanity above borders. Parole in place will provide protection and relief to the largest undocumented population since DACA was implemented and will potentially include much needed relief for more than 100,000 DACA recipients.

This is our win!

Today’s victory is testament to the power of our communities, of community organizing, and proof that we can make change happen. It is also proof that the Biden Administration can take further action to deliver the permanent protections that our communities need!

Our fight continues!

Our fight continues! This is an urgent step towards keeping families together, but we know millions more are still fighting for permanent protections.

Bolder action is needed – the Biden Administration must use every opportunity to expand pathways to permanent protections for DACA recipients, undocumented youth, our families and communities. Text PATHWAY to 787-57 join the fight and demand permanent protections NOW!
