Biden is Choosing to Continue and Expand Trump-Era Policies

Trump enacted some of the most violent and extreme anti-immigrant policies that we’ve seen in recent history–one full year after becoming president, Biden has yet to get rid of them. Biden has failed to roll back Trump policies, and his inaction has endangered the lives of millions of people that he could have helped throughout his first year.

1. Restart of Title 42 Order:

Tens of thousands have been blocked and expelled from seeking asylum in violation of domestic and international law.

2. Unaccompanied Children:

Approximately, 1,150 children separated from their families due to Trump’s border policies have not been reunited with their families.

3. 287(g) Agreements

287(g) programs continue to exist under Trump’s aggressive expansion. ICE lead nominee, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, said he would not end 287(g) agreements.

4. Applications Denied by Muslim and African Bans:

Biden has failed to reopen all immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications denied before January 20, 2020 due to Trump’s Muslim and African Bans.

5. COVID-19:

Despite commitments to protect detained immigrants from COVID-19, ICE proves to be unreliable in reporting positive cases and takes 10 months to issue guidance on vaccinations. COVID cases have spikes 500 percent in ICE facilities.

6. Border Wall Construction:

Construction continues at the southern border.

After 1 year in office, the Biden Administration has failed to roll back Trump’s inhumane legacy. This is unacceptable. Take action here

This March marks 21 years of ICE CBP & DHS terrorizing our immigrant communities.

Ever since their creation, ICE and CBP have targeted, detained, abused and deported immigrants while separating loved ones and tearing apart communities. Donate 21 dollars to help us fight back against the 21 years of terror.
